Miss Sammie

Carol has completed her half square log cabin, and she has done her placement a little bit different, and as you can see by this photo what a fantastic job she has done, and Miss Sammie (Carols grand daughter) is showing off the beautiful bag that Nan had made.

Gai found this one in the cupboard

Gai has found some UFO's this one she started a little while ago and thought it was time to finish it, and wow......just lovely.

Dale and her quilt for Tommy

Dale has made this for her youngest grandson Tommy - "Toys for Boys" a kit she purchased from Hatched and Patched, after being inspired by Kerry. Beautiful job Dale.

One very happy quilter....

Kath has just received her quilt back form being quilted by Betty Field, and she is just stoked. This is Kath's first quilt, done in flannels, the kit was purchased from Warren, and what a fantastic job Kath has done.

Using up those scraps

Really like the idea of this:

This would look equally stunning with a cream background. Would use up even the smallest of scraps. Find a tutorial at Happy Things.

Melly & Me also have a scrappy log cabin challenge happening. Have a look here for the concept and here for how to make the scrappy log cabin blocks.

I Would like to take this opportunity to thank my partner in crime, Ros, who makes some lovely interesting touches to our "Club Quilt" Narromine blog.

Bag lady is at it again....

Well the bag lady is on track...after completing this bag Dale was ahead in her count to do a bag a week....

Grandma Gai

On our last quilting day Gai was very patiently waiting, and sewing, and waiting and sewing but later that night Pryia Grace was born - Gai's grandaughter, (this is Gai's first grandchild). Congratulations...........

Joan our "Busy Queen Bee"

A shaggy bag was Joans project last time we met on Sunday!

This girl is always on a mission .....

And the mission is always for someone else never for Kerry, Toby is the lucky owner of this lovely quilt, and I think Kerry did this one in a weekend. Any little man would love to be the owner of this one. Kerry is stippling a baby quilt, thought she should have a few made ready to go..........

Crazy woman in our midst

Peg blogged earlier about Dale's insane idea to make one bag EVERY WEEK for the next year to sell at her grandsons' school fundraising weekend. And not just one bag a week, but a DIFFERENT bag each week! Never let it be said we don't encourage her lunacy - this one's for you Dale!
Go to Welsh Quilter's blog where she has a tutorial on how to make this bag out of 3" squares. You will need to look at her entries for 23rd, 24th and 25th June.

Happy Birthday little blossie

It is Ros' littlest blossie's 6th birthday today. After sewing into the wee hours of the morning (as you do!), these were ready for wrapping just in time:

The bag is a variation of Weigela Design's 'Run Rabbit Run' bag. The roll with the ribbon unwraps to this:

Inspiration for the pencil roll is entirely from Pink Chalk Studio.

And just in case you've not covered absolutely everything with fabric ...

Perhaps a customised tape measure? Find out how to make one here.

Whip up a designer tea towel dress?

This might be a cute little fundraising novelty when we're next asked to organise a stall for charity? Made from a tea towel, you can find a tutorial to make it here and the downloadable pattern for the bodice in the sidebar of Calamity Kim's blog .

She's at it again - our girl Joan

Slaving over the machine again, not enough hours in the day for this old girl, Joan sewing up a storm, not sure but I think this is Joanie's first shaggy quilt.

Pat with a few more projects.....

Here we have our Pat quilting the "Sunrise" quilt made by Joanie. As well as two more of Pats georgeous bags, the bag Pat is holding is called "Sophies Pretty Bag" by Weigela Desings and the fabric is form "The Purple Patch Concord".....the other is a "Stable Bag" (I think I may have called the last one Pat made a saddle bag)...

Cath's progressing with her quilt...

Progress photos of Caths quilt, looking good.........

Gai - waiting birth of first grandchild

Just a little something Gai whipped up on our last Sunday - this is going to be for Gai's first grandchild (Gai reckons he/or she will be born today 7/7/07, lets hope so)
Lovely job Gai.....

Dale's on a roll again..................

Every year Dale makes quilts and bags for three of her grandsons Josh, Clay and Henry (Elliott and Tommy are not at school yet), for their huge fundraising weekend for their school. Dale decided this year she was going to make a bag per week until the next fundraiser, so hopefully she will have 52 plus......As this stage she is on track here are a few of her efforts (also aiming to do a different bag each week) you go girl.....

BOM - "Home Sweet Home" - Pat's masterpiece

This quilt is just spectacular - Pat has done a wonderful job on this quilt.

June and her completed quilt for Coen

June's grandson Coen turned one last week and here she is with her completed quilt as well as a matching carry bag, wow what a gift!!!!!

Pat will always inspire...............

These a a few of the items Pat has been creating
"Life is a Patchwork or Friendship" by Calico Thyme
Sewing bag, neddle case and scissor holder - does this not inspire you to start a new project.

Bell's creation....

This is a photo of a blanket that Bell Walsh has made - just spectacular

The blanket is all wool and lined with a pink mink blanket. It took from 4 July, 2006 (when Audrey was born and I received details of her weight, her full name etc) to 1 December 2006. It was given to Audrey as a Christmas present.

Audrey takes the blanket everywhere she goes and her mother Jane’s reaction to the blanket when she opened the present made the work worthwhile.
